Port, test, and certify Intalio|BPP on Ingres database

Ingres is an open source relational database that has enjoyed loyal following over the years.

We have received requests to port Intalio|BPP to Ingres and certify and support Intalio|BPP on the database. I am posting this D3 project to get feedback from the community.


Issues to investigate and address:

- Support for Hibernate and OpenJPA
- Transaction and concurrency control support (MVCC, row-level locking, deadlock detection, ...)
- Sequence, identity and generator support
- Standard data type support (incl. CLOBs, BLOBs, ...)
- Cursor support
- Database drivers (variations in standard support, schema meta-data retrieval, bugs, ...)
