We are in process of integrating an extended transport into Intalio BPM Server that will work in parallel with usual Web-Service calls but will provide some additional features that "normal" web-services do not have.

After an architecture review we decided to use Apache ODE IL as a starting point and took the ODE-Axis integration based on the version located in Apache ODE subversion repository, however we quickly found out that what is located there is not what's delivered with Intalio BPMS.

I would propose to create a simple and clear, documented interface for extending ODE(PXE) Axis integration layer since based on our investigations I proprietary PXE features are too deeply integrated inside the ODE(PXE)-Axis IL, moreover we are ready to sponsor the development in this area and contribute our changes back to the Intalio and/or ODE community.
